thoughts, findings + processes of robyn britt.
Working on a quick little Illustration for this cute little church in Red Cliff, Colorado. (Pardon the low resolution photo.) Playing around with colors now.
I found this lovely description of an eatery. Not too long, not too short. To the point and descriptive - using as little words as possible.
“A community drinkery offering up a menu of mouth-watering snacks and an array of elixirs in an approachable yet intimate environment tucked below one of Atlanta’s historic landmarks.”
I’m in the process of creating a series of Kitchen art photos to sell. Clever or popular sayings that can be paired with food terminology.
This one is a very popular Bible verse, and will be used with salt or seasoning shaker being shaken over it or to the side. So far I’ve had fun sketching out lots of possibilities for layout of the lettering, this being a favorite so far. What I’m also working on now is a successful implementation of shakers. I can’t decide quite yet on where to put them and how detailed they should be, which comes down to how I’d like to print it, right now my goal is for Letterpress in which simplicity is your best friend.
I started the initial sketches of this a while back, but last week my Brother in law, a very amazing person and talented Chef passed away very suddenly, leaving my sister and their little boy behind. I feel led to create this poster in his honor because not only does the bible verse fit (“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven”) in comforting that there is a reason for everything, but he was so passionate about cooking and even created his own line of seasonings. Stay tuned for more process work and eventual information on purchase.

They are all still works in progress, but to see others I am working on click here. They are all a different style, perfect for someone who loves all things eclectic or updeat/uplifting.
Working on some (semi) Custom text for a quick project.
I began with a certain font and made some adjustments for readability, consistency and of course a more visually pleasing (quick) solution.
Simple. Effective.

The imagery is perfect. The new menus are crisp & clean. New logo, a bit trendy for me. I love all of the implementations of secondary designs on collateral. Over all look and feel is a little less casual than before. It will feel more like a higher end brewery, which I’m not sure will end up driving more lunch crowds in the long run, which is one of their goals. I get a feeling that the interior and exterior of the new buildings will be a little darker and grittier based on: http://www.ocfranchising.com/ which definitely compliments the distressed and raw look they are moving towards.
Overall: I like it.
